XEB
XEB
XEB brings together ex original members of Third Eye Blind. Kevin Cadogan, Tony Fredianelli and Arion Salazar's contributions span 17 years of the band's history. Cadogan, who was a signatory to Third Eye Blind's Elektra record deal, performed lead guitar and composed the music to 10 of the 14 songs on 3eb's 1997 Self Titled debut album which sold 6x platinum. Cadogan also composed the music to 6 songs on 3eb's 2x platinum selling sophomore album 'Blue' including the fan favorite "Wounded". Cadogan has been hailed as a Master Innovator by Guitar Player Magazine and toured from '96-'99 performing his co-authored radio hits "How's It Going To Be", "Graduate", and "Losing A Whole Year".

In San Francisco 1993/94, they wrote and performed under the name Third Eye Blind until Fredianelli exited the band that same year, but not before contributing musical production elements to songs on the debut such as "Motorcycle Drive By" and the hit "Semi Charmed Life". Fredianelli later contributed his signature backing vocals and guitar, ushering in a new sound for Third Eye Blind that carried through the fourth album. Fredianelli composed the music to many songs on the certified gold album 'Out Of The Vain'. His co-authored radio hits include "Blinded", "Non-Dairy Creamer" and 2009's "Bonfire" from the #1 selling album 'Ursa Major'.

Grammy nominated Bassist and composer Arion Salazar co-wrote many songs (credited and un-credited) throughout the band's career including the hit "Never Let You Go" along with other fan favorites spanning the bands career. Salazar is credited as a producer on Third Eye Blind's 'Blue' and 'Out Of The Vein' albums and is known for his signature use of double/effected bass tracking and vintage keyboards.
ALEX2E
ALEX2E
Alex2e (actual name Alex Tuohey) is a self-taught acoustic folk and pop artist from Western Massachusetts.
More importantly, Alex2e is a storyteller. In 2012, he picked up a guitar and started writing and performing original music. His songs connect to a variety of audiences, bridging the gap between folk and pop music, while drawing comparisons to artists and bands such as Jack Johnson, Mike Posner and Dispatch.
In just a few short years, Alex has played many notable venues. From Local bars and taverns in New England, to concert venues in Chicago and NYC and festivals in the UK, Alex has become a seasoned troubadour in his own right. Averaging roughly 100+ dates a year, supporting national acts such as Griffin House, Casey Abrams (of Postmodern Jukebox) and Joshua Davis (of The Voice) among others, he has proven himself a true musician, just beginning to make his mark.
Ships Have Sailed
Ships Have Sailed
Since their inception, Ships Have Sailed have always struck a balance between exuberant pop and substantial alternative rock. Their debut EP ‘Someday’ (2014) was well received throughout the US, Canada and the UK, catalyzing a Northeastern US tour and landing the band showcases at SXSW, CMJ Music Marathon, Canadian Music Week, & NAMM in 2015. They took home accolades from ISC and Unsigned Only that same year, furthering the band’s impetus for the release of their first full length album, ‘Moodswings’. The eleven song studio effort earned glowing reviews from Blackbook, Wild Honey Pie, and The 405, again receiving notice from ISC, Unsigned Only and The John Lennon Songwriting Competition, and spawned a sister release ‘Re: MIX’, whose tropical house remixes seemed in perfect step with the evolving music climate.

An invigorated 2016 began with Ships Have Sailed’s acoustic EP, ‘Whispers’. The band spent the summer touring the West coast and set out on an East coast tour in late fall. In November, ‘Drive’ received Best Alternative Song at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, a massive feat and a testament to the group’s ability to translate their own momentum into a pulsing, universal anthem about love, longevity and forward motion. Along with the success and progress achieved over the past year, for which they have been unwaveringly grateful, Ships Have Sailed also saw the inherent challenges of unexpected events and unpredictable variables of their continuing journey.

Coming off the road on the final leg of their 2016 tour cycle, and in a particularly reflective and somewhat exhausted moment, a new idea was born.

In his own words, the group’s spearhead, songwriter and producer, Will Carpenter says “[In] a moment that was both happy and sad, reflective and hopeful, satisfied but still hungry, I tried to muster up the words to convey the mix of emotions that this year had evoked. At first it was a thoughtful process, but once the grain of the idea took shape, the music just kind of poured out…and it was incredibly cathartic.”

The result will be heard in the band’s new single, ‘Up’, which Carpenter sees as a call “to those of us with a dream that, however long the odds, is something we’re willing to fight for.”
